Nice hotel with its private beach, infinity pool, and air conditioning. The staff once returned my lost shower bag, showing how attentive they are. I highly recommend relaxing in the hammock by the beach!

The staff were incredibly nice, the room was luxury. The location was remote, stunning in the beach area. What's more, it was not far from an amazing bay as well as the island...

Beautiful views from the bungalows.
I experienced significant water pressure issues in my bungalow. It was annoying to deal with weak water flow, especially for basic tasks like showering. The breakfast options were quite limited, with poor quality coffee that ruined my mornings. I expected much more given the price we paid.

It was a very very good stay for holidays. We found out fair prices in the hotel. Magnificent location and best and excellent staff were a definite plus. Good restaurant provided Thai dishes.

Fantastic place with crystal clear water. Staff is very friendly and helpful but some lack in understanding english. This is a place for total relaxation.

Enjoyed the peaceful setting with bungalows tucked in lush greenery and wildlife. Hammocks provided great spots to relax during the day, and the fine beach just a short walk away offered clear waters perfect for swimming.
The food here lacked variety and quality. Breakfast options were minimal and uninviting. The pool area could get noisy in the evenings due to music from the bar. Some amenities felt neglected, with broken items in the rooms and limited service at the deck bar.

perfect base for exploring beautiful nearby beaches and waterfalls
I enjoyed the exactly what I was looking for, from the clean and spacious bungalows with porches to the fine views at Bang Bao Beach. Plus, the Khlong Chao Waterfalls, just a short trip away, added a little adventure to my weekend strolls.

Koh Kood Resort is situated on probably the nicest bay of the island. We liked it that much that we expended our stay from 4 to 6 nights, because you amagine yourself in paradise. The resort itself is nice. They provide good food, free Booked.nets, free towels for sunbathing (so don't bring your own, it saves room in your suitcase), free snorkling equipment, free wifi and a good breakfast where you can eat as much. The staff is extremely friendly, when you arrive the staff runs to the pier and take your luggage so you can relax from the start. Also the staff is always in for a chat, which makes the stay so much more personal. The bungalows are simple (without tv), but nice, and give you the feeling that you're invited by Mother Nature herself.
Counterside is that the Cambodeans work 7 days a week, 15 hours a day. It feels uncomfortable seeing them work so hard, so if you can save them a little by getting the Booked.net yourself, moving your bed at the beach by yourself, and tip generously, also for the people who clean the rooms. Another thing we did not like was that the people behind the website of koh kood resort (which are not the people who work at the resort) told us that the easiest way to get to the resort was the speedboat. When we were on the island we discovered that the express boat (or slow boat) also has free pick up from and to your hotel and is 250 baht per person cheaper. An absolute ripoff therefore, so when you are in Trat book your boat tickets there and not in front for the speedboat. Last thing is that we had some kind of reptile living on our roof, which made a lot of noice at night. Therefore bring earplugs.
